I made these cookies with the help of Bridget Edwards and her wonderful cookie and royal icing recipes. See her blog here http://bakeat350.blogspot.com/
This was in October that I made these cookies. I packaged them nicely in bags and sent him home with several cookies. While visiting at his apartment one day this week there on his kitchen counter sat the packages of cookies, which by the way everyone in our house loves. I asked him why he wasted them he said said "no mom I didn't waste them those cookies were way to nice to eat those are saving cookies" his comment made me feel good but I would have eaten them.
If you haven't seen the book Decorating Cookies by Bridget Edwards you must check it out. It is the best cookie book I've seen. She has the best recipes, tips and instructions. I fell in love with her cookies the very first time my good friend, Janet, from The Army Mom introduced me to them. She gave me and my girls private lessons in cookie making/decorating. We have found this to be a wonderful hobby and love spending some time together creating our masterpieces! Each batch we make we pronounce it to be our best batch yet.
These mushrooms are one of my favorites!
